I am so honored to have been selected to represent the United States for the Cyclocross World Championship this year in Vaulkenberg, Netherlands. Being a member of this team is such a huge honor to be bestowed on an athlete and it makes me immensely proud to be a part of Team USA.
Growing up as a mountain biker I developed from local racer, to regional expert, to national level professional. I was able to represent the United States at the Mountain Bike World Championships when I was a Junior Expert. It has always been a dream of mine to come back and race again at the World Championships as a Elite level rider. Over ten years later, I was able to achieve that goal.
A huge Thank You to the people that continuously support me. Sycamore Cycles for tuning my bike and making sure they are in tip top shape for each race. Industry Nine for manufacturing the smoothest wheels. CTS/Organic Valley Cycling Team for providing support for me at the races. NCCX for putting on a great series where I can test my fitness and skills and AVLCX for letting me lead clinics and teach people about the sport I love most.
The travel expenses and flights come at the end of a long season of racing throughout the country. The money you contribute will allow me to book flights, pay for lodging and cover miscellaneous expenses that come up during my travel. Racing at the World Championships is a no compromise type of event so I need to be prepared as best I can.
Thanks to each of you that have shown your support at races and from afar. Your cheers and encouragement have been felt throughout the season and I'm sure I will hear you all from across the pond. Racing with so many cheering me on means the world to me. I am proud to call Western North Carolina home and it puts a smile on my face to show the world that NC produces so many great athletes.
More about me
Growing up in North Georgia, I followed my love from cycling to Brevard College. After graduating in 2011, I joined Carmichael Training Systems as an endurance coach helping athletes to reach their goals. My Wife and I live 15 minutes from the best trails and riding in the country. We live in Mills River, NC with our chickens, bees and plenty of bikes. When off the bike, I love practicing my BBQing; it has been a great addition to my hobbies, and my buddies seem to agree. I love to cook and bake. Although that perfect loaf of bread is just around the corner, I leave the more difficult recipes to my lady.
Thank you so much for supporting me and my racing. It means the world to me. Please share my message and help spread the word.
